Fuji low light action

So this time last year I covered a pro wrestling event at the Studio, where I’m the resident photographer. This was all done on a Full Frame DSLR camera and fast pro glass. I covered the same event last weekend but with my Fuji X system gear.

The night before the event I took a look at the raw files from last year to see what sort of iso levels I was shooting at and they were all 6400-8000iso. This then was going to be a real test for my Fuji gear (or so I thought)

I used my Fuji X-T1 and 18mm because I was so close to the action, which was a bit dangerous at times !! I was on auto iso and shutter priority setting my shutter speed to 1/400 to 1/500 sec.

To say im pleased with the results would be an understatement, Im amazed ! . Next big test will be the 2016 season photographing the home games of my home town American Football team “The Halton Spartans” and on Sunday  I will be at one of their training sessions to get a bit of a warm up.

Here’s a few shots from Friday Night at “The Studio”

Happy Snapping
